What’s the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make? Why?

I’m in the process to start my life over by quitting a dead-end job and moving out where I currently live. It was the hardest thing for me to do but I know it’s essential for my mental health and happiness. I also feel stuck in places that no longer serves my greatest good, so it was time to make a hard decision and move on. I know something greater is on the horizon!

  • A great twist

Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays?

My family doesn’t make anything outside of the normal holiday menu, however my mom’s dressing is “a force”! It is so tasty and rich with flavors that make the turkey extra special. I do miss my maternal grandma’s cooking because she made a special cornbread recipe that was too good…I think I may recreate it since she never gave me the recipe!

  • Always creating

If you didn’t need sleep, what would you do with all the extra time?

My extra time would revolve around creating many things. I would use productivity that enhances my talents and nurture them around the clock. I also would travel the world to seek beauty for inspiration. As long as I’m productive, I know I could make a living, knowing all of creative ideas are being brought to life.

  • So many “pet peeves” but a few…

Name your top three pet peeves.

    1. Ungrateful people-no one owes anyone anything, so being ungrateful doesn’t bring goodness into your life or situation.
    2. Pretentious attitudes-I can see the “fake it until you make it” syndrome, but being pretentious at the expense of thinking you’re better than others is “crazy work”.
    3. Harmful social media trends-such as eating Tide “Pods” and other household chemicals (which I know are started by themselves) and trends to harm youths are annoying. Social media platforms have the power to prevent these things from happening, yet I feel they don’t do enough. So concerning.
  • Soothing Love

What is good about having a pet?

I love pet birds and dogs, and they both soothe me in different ways. Birds soothe my soul with their angelic voices and how intelligent they are. Dogs soothe me by having a loyal companion and to help my anxiety by rubbing their backs. I couldn’t forget turtles and fish and watching them ease through water so eloquently-majestic!

  • 1998-1999

Is there an age or year of your life you would re-live?

Today is my high school’s homecoming, and it takes me back to 1998 and 1999-my freshman and sophomore years. Oh…how times were so simple back then! I can only remember how the music/culture inspired me and my friends, with us running up the school’s steps to get to our classes. Having older siblings and cousins, I was able to go out with them and enjoy life as a young teenager as well. I truly miss those days, and it’s only when you get older and life changes that you appreciate those times more than ever.

  • Family not Relative

    Describe a family member.

Someone who values the bloodline that they’re associated with and respects their ancestors’ legacy; a family member respects their fellow family members’ values with empathy towards them. A family member doesn’t use entitlement to manipulate other members for their own benefit. Gatherings are everything of a testament of how much love they have for their family and wouldn’t do anything to break the covenant of-FAMILY!

  • Cardio

What is your favorite form of physical exercise?

I love to run, because it gets the heart pumping; walking also helps me get my cardio in. These two movements are my go to cause it makes me feel like I can go on. I pray that I am able to still run and walk in my older self because that will keep me alive as long as possible.

  • Health

What are you most proud of in your life?

Not going to lie, I don’t really know how to answer this question-don’t know how. Now that I think about it I am proud of my good health. Even at the age of 40, I feel like I’m 21 years old with massive wisdom! Proud to be alive and proud to be very healthy.

  • Blogging & YouTube

What have you been working on?

I am working on creating a community and expressing myself through my passions. I’ve always been a person who could never niche down, so I hope my community appreciates what I have to offer. On my channel and blog, I hope to express my love for something that I will share here soon!
