I always felt I was born to be a leader in something; my life’s trajectory seems to point towards that direction. With leadership comes huge responsibility, although I want to lead quietly.
“Quiet Leadership” is someone who effective without saying too much. He/she keeps their personal lives private (for the most part) while making decisions to help many others.
While being a leader, autonomy is important, while maintaining balance to not lose foresight would be my grasp. A quiet leader.
I can actually say my favorite word is happiness. Happiness truly comes from within and once you find it, you do everything to keep that amazing feeling. Happiness and peace go hand in hand!
This outfit is an early fall special! I paired the Victoria’s Secret bra with some Intempo palazzo pants from Kohl’s and my sandals come from Kurt Greiger. Some edge with a feminist situation…that’s what this outfit got!
There’s no plans really, but I know I am working. I’m actually glad I was able to work later today; much needed rest time! I will be blogging later as well as get some product reviews done. There’s a need to look forward to finishing things today.🩵
Before I post a YouTube short about this bra, I figured: “why not talk about it first on my blog?” Stay tuned for two extra days of posts on me styling this bra with fall wear!
My “farmer jack” outfit is a hit in my book…lol
This bedazzled-strap bra is by far the most interesting and comfortable bras I’ve ever worn-let alone by Victoria’s Secret. The “Dream Angels” Wicked Lace bra collection features neutral shades that are versatile. It is a very lightweight bra with soft lace that gives coverage with a touch of push up. See, the only bras for me are the ones that offer great coverage and beautiful design!
There is a padded lining to cover-up your areola. I cannot get over how pretty it is.
F.Y.I. Some time on my YouTube, I review and style lingerie with clothes (the video is an example).
What personality trait in people raises a red flag with you?
My biggest personality trait in which raises a red flag would have to be disloyalty. When I see that you’re not a very solid person, I distance myself very quickly. It’s crazy how some people expect loyalty from others, but cannot practice it themselves; it’s important to understand that if you seek loyalty, you must be as well.
Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.
I have them on now and purchased them back in 2016; I used my Nordstrom employee discount to buy these boot-like sneakers (green pair at the bottom). Since they have walked many steps in Washington D.C., many dinners, and always made my outfits pop effortlessly!
They key to keeping them looking great was not wearing them often.
These shoes are so amazing that my niece wanted to take them from me many times! I refuse to let them go until they completely fall apart.
I forgot another pair of Nike Dunks (hi) that I own from Nordstrom.com. The white pair pictured below are adorned with pearl accents with the Nike sign engraved on them. Nike’s comfort level has fallen throughout the years, but their styles are classic and with dope designs!
Overthinking and trying to control the outcome is something I should let go of. I am actually doing better than I used to. Sometimes as humans, we feel very agitated when we aren’t able to control the outcome of certain aspects of our lives. Inevitably, there are going to be something that is going to step out-of-line in your life.
It’s true-your reaction to uncontrollable things in your life will determine how to balance your emotions. When we focus on overthinking of how we hope things should be, we see a usual response that doesn’t make our situation better.
The world is always going to throw things your way, my way, and any way to check your balance. No need to worry about how things will turn out; worry about doing your part for the best outcome possible. At least you could say: “I truly tried, and that’s all can do.”
I am a big fan of the Toyota brand! My love affair began after seeing my mom switch from the American brand Ford. At the time she owned the Ford, she always had car trouble and breakdowns. From there, she purchased a Toyota Camry after talking to fellow owners. That car lasted her a long time; while my brother and sister bought a Corolla. My brother still drives the Corolla to this very day at over 274,000 miles! I also purchased a 2003 Toyota Corolla that I eventually traded for another car. All in all, my Corolla served me well with low maintenance and great reliability.
I will be leaping over to the Lexus line at some point soon. I will continue to buy from a brand that continues to re-invent themselves, and keep the quality up-to-par!
There were some extremely good and bad events happened the year I was born. Michael Jackson and Prince topped the music charts, Steve Jobs released the Macintosh computer, and so many popular movies were released like “Nightmare on Elm Street” & “Beverly Hills Cop”. I also love the fact that Lionel Richie’s “Hello” reached high on the charts!
One unfortunate tragedy that happened in my birth city San Diego, California is mind boggling. A gunman killed over 20 people (and injured many others) in a San Ysidro McDonald’s on July 18, 1984. My dad was still stationed in San Diego at the time, and family from the East Coast called my mom to ensure she and my family were safe.
The one unfortunate tragedy that happened that year that still very much touches me is the death of one of my musical favorites. One day before his 45th birthday, Motown singer Marvin Gaye was fatally gunned down by his own father. My mom was in labor with me, and this tragic situation broke many hearts. I was born early that morning on his birthday, April 2nd. Believe it or not, his music touches my soul like no other. I stop to listen to his music every time I hear it. I love my birthday twin, and I feel blessed to be influenced by his music while sharing a birthday with him!
Also, Desiderata was released! Very important life lesson.
