A student switching schools can be scary and even more scarier when you don’t have friends. I always been a loner most of life, so when I switched schools to be closer to home I thought I was doing my family and I a favor-so I was WRONG! It was a culture shock because of the demographics and felt so left out because I didn’t make any friends easily. Plus, my mom had to remove me due the discrimination and my alleged “academic failure”.
The next semester I was switched back to my regular school and felt so relieved. That experience traumatized me but I felt I’ve healed because realized prejudice is taught; there was no direct connection to me personally. Thank God I was able to go back to my roots, and don’t regret it at all.
Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
Fortunately for me, when I was born and was in my youth right when computers were becoming more of a lifestyle-so I was able to live without them. So any given time if computers are to become obsolete, I do know how to become creative and live without them. Now don’t get me wrong, I love computers and feel they are a life-changing phenomenon, it’s just I’m able to live without them.
So I would go back to the time where I had to use paper and pen, draw my thoughts, and write everything down-ultimately!
There are many skills that I could learn on this earth, but one I think is the most powerfully useful one is putting all of my faith in God. I have done that on many occasions and saw how great things turned out for me. Of course there are many times I try to control the outcome, and everything comes crumbling down every time. I know I am human, but my major skill to learn is to keep all my faith and trust in God! 🩷
What details of your life could you pay more attention to?
The story of my life could have a full three chapters of how unorganized and non-communicative I am. It’s not on purpose at all, it’s just the details I need to be more aware of. Organization is partially due to my living situation, and how I need to move to a bigger space in order to be more productive.
As far as my communication goes…(sigh)…I’m getting so much better. I used to be the type of person who rarely answered texts; God help me if someone called I wouldn’t even answer the phone. It’s so crazy because when I was in high school before cell phones were accessible to many, I talked on the phone until the sun went down and came back up. I also had to learn not to go ghost on people when my life hits a brick wall.
These are the details I’m working on and still probably have a lot to learn.
**I do love fashion and beauty products and will have features on this blog. Thanks for supporting my work on this blog!**
I love reviewing products and here lately I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to do so! If you’re interested in any of these products, here are my takes…
**Thanks so much to Influenster for allowing me to test these products, and your support!**
NYX “Duck Plump” Lipgloss-these glosses are very high shine. They have ginger in the formula so they sting your lips so please be WARNED, however I’m not sure if they actually plump up your lips! The nude color is so beautiful and will purchase again.
Valentino “Spike Valentino” lipstick in 111A Undressed Velvet –very luxurious magnetic packaging with a lip color is a subtle matte that doesn’t dry your lips. 111A “Undressed Velvet” is an orange-tinted red in my opinion. I need to do a makeup look so my interested people can see it in full effect.
Shea Moisture “Nourished & Radiant” Gentle Cream Cleanser-very gentle and light that leaves your face looking brighter and it indeed does moisturize. It hasn’t broken my face out so that’s a great sign.
Charlotte Tilbury “Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint” Hydrating Foundation Stick-y’all I was sent the wrong shade…a very fair shade. At first I was like “What could I possibly do with this?”, but I tried it anyway. I can truly say this product glides on like a dream and I can see this as a light coverage for everyday. Since I have a very fair shade, I use mine as a highlight and love it for my nose.
Shea Moisture “Whole Body Deodorant Invisible Stick in Coconut 🥥 & Hibiscus 🌺”- this product is very odorless and pretty light on the skin! To be honest though, I only use it on my legs because of the moisture content of the product; this deodorant does not help my arm pits (for transparency reasons-my armpits are stronger than the average woman). So using this product is great for under breast odor, around my neck, and sometimes as a lotion.
|Finally…this last product was a surprise and been wanting to try it for a while now.|
**Thanks to 🐝 BzzAgent for this opportunity!**
Lancôme “Tient Idole Ultra Wear” Foundation in 525W-worth the wait and feel so happy I was able to sample this product! You guys…I used to see this foundation on YouTube for a while and never tried it. I am damn impressed with this foundation because of how light and buildable it is. The shade range is crazy and there is a match for everyone! In fact, my Guerlain foundation doesn’t even touch this formulation, and costs almost $40 more! I hope to keep this on the market cause this is my new FAVORITE foundation; crazy how lucky I was to get a free full-sized sample!
My #1 priority tomorrow is to stay balanced and stay focused. When I say balanced, I mean I want to be in a frame of mind that is healthy for myself and my family. Mental and spiritual health are very important to be in order to keep myself balanced.
Focus has been a major issue in my life, so I made it a priority to overcome this hurdle. I have goals I want to achieve before I leave this earth and time is not waiting on anyone. Each week, it’s pertinent that each person should have a focus on anything that they have placed inside their heart to do.
In what ways does hard work make you feel fulfilled?
Hard work can very well make you feel you have to do back-breaking labor to feel accomplished-it doesn’t have to be.
I remember starting my small business in 2020, and being the face of everything that involves running one. A lot of times I didn’t feel I was doing enough when I was doing too much, all the while working full-time. Now I know where I went wrong, I am able to help myself work smarter-not even harder.
Moral of the story is: hard work is reaching your daily goals and tasks. Everyone knows that if you won’t do the work…what you’re doing won’t work. It’s all about the mindset of getting the job done while understanding that you can’t burn yourself out in the process!
My dedication to the people and things I love is unmatched. I am loyal and if I want something, nothing can keep me away from it. Being when I was younger, I used to give up on my dreams easily if they didn’t materialize fast enough; these days now that I am 40, I recycled my dreams and seeing them come to pass. Dedication will not let you give up on yourself!
